WEEK 1:Article 2-Divorce-hit Terengganu wants to spice up sex life of newly-weds

Divorce-hit Terengganu wants to spice up sex life of newly-weds
By R.S.N. MURALI-Source:Star Online (2 Nov 2009)

It is an interesting news and kinda funny too.It happened in Kuala Terengganu.Body odour, humdrum sex and boring pyjamas have been blamed for the high divorce rate in Terengganu and the state government is coming up with innovative ways to improve sexual relations, especially among newly-weds.Isn't it funny?Top on its list is to invite cosmetic firms to introduce exotic and sensuous fragrances that can arouse sexual desire. And husbands and wives are being encouraged to bathe together.

State Religious and Information Committee deputy chairman Muhammad Ramli Nuh believes that these moves can curb the divorce rates among young couples.
He told The Star yesterday that at least three in every 10 marriages in the state end in divorce, adding that separation was now the prevalent trend among couples aged between 25 and 30 years.

Muhammad Ramli said couples who had been married for less than five years and were on the verge of separation had told counsellors that routine sex and body odour were the main reasons for them to want to break up.

He said he was bewildered that some of these couples said their spouses’ old-fashioned pyjamas – sarong and t-shirt – and bad smell during intimate moments made their sex life monotonous or turned them off completely.
“I know of one case where a separation was triggered just because the spouse smelled of fish crackers,” he said.

As such, he said the state government – through state Family Development Board – was asking cosmetic firms to introduce special perfumes for the couples so they could “sustain their relationships, hopefully for eternity.”

From my perspective:Firstly,I feel the news is kinda very funny and also interesting. This is my 1st time i came across with such news.I believe that Kuala Terengganu is a rural area and they have not been exposed much enough about marriage life and basically they are out dated. So,this might one of the issue which cause highest rate of divorce in Kuala Terengganu. State Religious and Information Committee deputy chairman Muhammad Ramli Nuh believes that by inviting cosmetic firms to introduce exotic and sensuous fragrances that can arouse sexual desire can curb the divorce rates among young couples.I totally agree of that but it will work for short term time of period only.Basically, they should implement better ways such as reward them for a vacation and reward them with total sum of money. So,it will encourage them more to be happy with their partners and would reduce the divorce rate.I totally agree of their another way that the state government was also sourcing for consultants to provide grooming workshops. This workshop is not only meant for the wives but also to provide men with tips on how to be attractive to their spouse at all times. These consultants could also suggest the right lingerie to be worn.I feel that marriage is important commitment in everyone life.Everyone should be responsible to sustain their relationship and my advice to the Terengganu newly-wed couples, they should have a clear cut about the marriage and need to take their own initiative to make they marriage a blissful ones rather than depending on government.I believe in proverb:'Where there is a will, there is a way'.

WEEK 1: Article 1-Jailed for raping lover’s daughter

Jailed for raping lover’s daughter
By M. MAGESWARI-Source:Star Online (7Nov 2009)

SUMMARY

The articles tell us about the Former Taman Aman Umno branch secretary Hamdan Ahadluddin, 49,and he was all set to marry the woman but 10 days before the wedding, he raped her 15-year-old daughter. He was jailed 10 years and ordered to be whipped six times after he was found guilty of raping the teenager at her home in Lembah Subang on Jan 21,2005.The widower, who was a machine operator, was also sentenced to another six years in jail for attempted rape at the same house in November 2004.
His jail terms are to run concurrently from the date of his arrest on Feb 7, 2005.

The girl lodged a complaint after her 45- year-old mother, an Umno executive secretary, found out about the rape. The wedding was promptly called off.Hamdan would have been the third husband to the woman, a widow. It is understood that the girl, now 19, is a child from her first marriage.

Hamdan, who represented himself, urged the court to consider the fact that he was a first offender, a diabetic and was remorseful of his actions.

In sentencing Hamdan, Rozina said she found that the defence had failed to raise any reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case.

She also held that Hamdan had failed to established his alibi(means:A form of defense whereby a defendant attempts to prove that he or she was elsewhere when the crime in question was committed) although he said he was at his workplace during the time of the offences.

From,my point of view:The legal issues which are involve are raping under age girl and the parties which are involve is former Taman Aman Umno branch secretary Hamdan Ahadluddin and the poor girl. The law which is involve is criminal law and it is public.

From my perspective,I think the punishment is very light and not mandatory. It definitely does not give an impact to the society.I think because of the light punishment, there would be another Hamdan who born to do the same raping cases in future.I believe that raping cases happen everyday in Malaysia and it is like mushroom growth. It grows quickly.Lets ponder,do you guys think that the punishment is sufficient for him and equivalent to the rape that he had been involve. He ruined the girl's life and definitely,it would be a black mark in her life.As a citizen,I feel that girl's virginity is an important asset for all the girls and it cant be equivalent to anything in this world. If I am a prime minister,I would definitely does some amendment for our current legal system.By doing so,it will scare the public to does the same mistake and definitely,it can reduce the rape cases in Malaysia. My final word,is he should be sentenced to the death in front of the public and it should be apply to all the rapist in Malaysia.I believe that we should fight for the women rights.

LAW

In legal framework multimedia,we studied that law is set of uniform principles that govern and regulate the human behaviour and it have it own punishment ( 3 things are included:rules, sovereignty, and enforcing power)

According to answers.com:

LAW

What is law?I think you guys should know the answer.Well, in my opinion law is do's and dont's to follow in any country or any organization.Every country have different set of laws and it is differ from one to another.Example:In Islamic countries, wain are prohibited but in European countries, wain are allowed in that country and most European countries produce their own wain themselves.Example:Switzerland one of the biggest country which produce wain in the world. That is basically, about the definition of law in my own perception.

Introduction of Legal Framework For Multimedia

On the 1st day of the class,I woke up late to the legal framework for multimedia class.I was rushing to the class.Thank God,that Mr Sonny Zulhada, our lecturer didn't sound me of coming late to class. So,he was introducing about the subject outline and the topics that will be cover during this semester. It was quite interesting and I remembered about Malaysian studies subject because it is almost the same. So,lets wait and see, whether it is the same or not.As time goes, then I would have clear cut of the Legal Framework For Multimedia.According to Mr Sonny Zulhada, creating blog is our 1st project in this subject. What we need to do is,update about what happen in each lecture about the topic and also find our own finding about the news regarding legal system in Malaysia which is relevant to the subject.
